So, you really want to know me..

When I was 19, I was a contestant on the Dating Game Show on ABC (Google it!)…and I won!

I have a great time performing: I once sang a song hanging upside down from a rafter over the stage. During a power outage I led the audience in a 10 minute a cappella sing along while we waited for the generator to kick in. After singing on the NBC Today Show, I asked Jane Pauley to pitch a recording contract to any label execs who were watching...and it worked!

I love adventure: I spent 2 months in the jungles of the Democratic Republic of the Congo teaching singing. I've jumped out of airplanes, scuba dived all over the world and I love to collect masks from the many countries I've visited.

I make a great marinara sauce and killer Armenian pizza...

My story.

When I was four years old, I begged my mother to take me to the taping of a kids TV show in Los Angeles. When we arrived, the host asked the audience for a volunteer to come up on to the stage and sing a song. To my mother's horror, I thrust my hand into the air and ran down to the stage. I sang my heart out in front of the world (and my surprised mother), and just like that, my music career was born.

30 years of coaching.

Years later, after I had studied music in college and toured with the Grammy Award nominated group Nu Shooz, I began suffering from vocal nodules. I realized that throughout my life, voice coaches had been telling me to “sing louder!”, “breathe from your diaphragm!” and other commands (without instructions.) Because no one had taught me proper vocal techniques, I was in serious trouble. I vowed to learn how to master the technical ‘how’ of singing. In doing so, the nodules were completely healed without surgery and in the process I created a powerful technique to train other singers to unlock their voice.

Center Stage Method.

With years of experience singing all over the world and coaching other singers to perform at their best, I created the Center Stage Method. It's designed to provide singers with a fail-safe strategy for high level performance. It not only teaches you how to control the mechanics of your voice, it helps you use the mechanics to drive the artistry of your performance. I work with singers who want to go all the way. If you feel ready to master your voice and take center stage, it's time we talk.

Where to begin.

Whether you are a beginner, rising star or professional singer, I am committed to getting you where you want to go. Choose one of the three tracks to success below to get started.

I feel blessed to have spent the last year and a half working with Mark. He not only helped me with the technical aspects of singing but helped with dynamics and emotional expression—what it truly means to be a singer. I have never felt more confident and free with my voice as I do now and I have Mark to thank for that. Rock on…

I was scheduled to sing on the Jimmy Fallon show (The Tonight Show), which was in the middle of an intense tour. On the day of the show I woke up sick. Before working with Mark this would have been a complete nightmare, but because of his coaching, tools and techniques nobody could tell I was sick as a dog and the show was a success. If I hadn’t been working with Mark I would not have been able to sing at all that night.

The whole process of singing was a mystery to me even though I was now doing it for a living every night. I was preparing to sing on the Jimmy Fallon show (The Tonight Show), which was in the middle of an intense tour. On the day of the show I woke up sick.
